Tacoma Jazz Bass

This Tacoma Jazz Bass from the mid 70ies is the second Jazz Bass i had the luck to come accross.

Got this one from an USA Ebay Auction.

The NoName bass is a bright Finger and Slap Monster.

The Tacoma is the perfect Brother .. here´s the description from the auction:

This is a vintage (70's era) Matsumoku lawsuit jazz bass in good playing condition. The headstock inlay says "Tacoma" made to look like "Fender". There is no connection to the current company of the same name. There is no fret or fingerboard wear. The finish has some dings (pic #5) but not much checking. The fingerboard is good quality rosewood. The tuners are also very good quality and function perfectly. The electronics are clean, the neck set is good, and the truss rod is functional. The bass is currently set up with Fender tapewound strings and is an R&B machine.  The only other thing to say is that it's hard to describe how good this bass sounds.

On Wullinger the Tacoma is played with a slightly hollow oldschool sound wich fits very well to the Jam Part.

Tacoma Bass > Mesa Boogie M6 > Ashdown MAG 410 T
